Scandinavian Stories is a one-week afternoon summer camp open to 10-16 year
olds with Scandinavian* backgrounds, or other connections to Scandinavia.
In five creative workshops, the participants learn how to effectively
communicate a message, write and produce their own short film,
a (Scandinavian) story. The program provides a creative and fun way for
the participants to explore and present their experiences.
The participants will
- gain a better understanding of narrative structure and storytelling
- write a personal story, create a script, and make a storyboard
- collect material for their film (photographs, moving images, text,
illustrations, audio and music)
- record a voice-over
- edit their own short film through Windows Movie Maker
The program provides one in-class computer per student; audio equipment; a
scanner; and some digital cameras.
