Carroll Gardens is a beautiful and quiet neighborhood easily accessible on the F train subway line (Carroll Street station, 15 minutes from West 4th Street) and within easy walking distance to Smith Street (Brooklyn's "restaurant row.")

One apartment is a large one bedroom-plus-den on the third floor of a charming brownstone building, $2100. Another is a 2-bedroom loft-style duplex apartment with its very own private garden, $2900.
